I’ve been sewing for over 15 years. I was first taught to sew as a child by my dad, who is an ironmonger by trade. After receiving a sewing machine for Christmas one year, my passion for sewing truly began.
I’ve been with my husband, Charlie, since 2011, and we married in 2016. We live on his family’s dairy, beef and arable farm in the beautiful Dorset countryside, along with our son, Ollie, our two dogs and eight cats.
The farm has been in Charlie’s family for over 100 years, with Charlie being the fourth generation. Life as a farmer’s wife is always an adventure—no two days are ever quite the same!
Our greatest adventure began in 2026 when we welcomed Ollie into the world. Becoming his mum has made Country Crafts Dorset feel even more special and has brought lots of new inspiration for comfortable, practical clothing made for little country children.
Country Crafts Dorset began when I started making baby and children’s clothing for family members, many of whom are also part of the farming community. With nine nieces and nephews, I had plenty of little ones to sew for!
I found it particularly difficult to find farming-themed clothing for girls, so I began sourcing beautiful fabrics and creating clothing for boys, girls and gender-neutral styles. After receiving so many lovely comments about my makes and fabrics, several people encouraged me to begin selling them—and that is how Country Crafts Dorset was born.
Years later, I’m still here and loving the journey my little business has taken me on.
The fabrics I use feature beautiful designs created by a small selection of talented designers and are printed here in the UK. I always credit and tag the designers on my social media pages. There are so many wonderful designs to choose from—especially the girly country prints—that I often find it impossible to pick just a few! This means I’m able to offer a lovely variety of designs across my clothing collections.
So, that’s a little bit about me, my family and how Country Crafts Dorset began—a small passion that grew into a business I’m incredibly proud of.
