I’ve been sewing for over 15 years!
Being taught as a child how to sew by my dad, who is an iron monger by trade. I was given a sewing machine for Christmas one year and my passion for sewing was born.
I’ve been with Charlie my husband since 2011 and married since 2016. I live with Charlie on his family’s farm with our two dogs and 8 cats, in the beautiful Dorset countryside.
Charlie’s family have had their Dairy, beef and Arable farm for over 100 years. Being 4th generation on the farm.
Being a farmers wife is an adventure. Each day so different to the rest.
I started making baby and children’s clothing for family members, most of who are in the farming industry. (I have 9 nieces and nephews). Finding it very hard to find any children clothing for girls which was farming themed, I sourced some beautiful fabrics, and started making gender neutral, boy and girl clothing. Hearing how lovely my clothes and fabric was, I was told by several people I should sell my items to the public. And that’s how ‘Country Crafts Dorset’ was born. 4 years later I’m still here and loving every second of the adventure it has been!
All the fabric I use is designed and printed by a handful of amazing designers. All of which are tagged and mentioned on my social media. The designs are all so beautiful (especially the girly designs) I find it so difficult to choose. Hence I have such a wonderful array of designs to offer, in all garments.
So this is a little something about me and how it all began.
My little passion turned business, which I am loving every day!
